How do I schedule an appointment?
You can leave a confidential voicemail at (813) 469-9684.
I check my voicemail several times a day on weekdays and at
least once per day on the weekends. I try to return calls within
24 hours. If you prefer, you can also contact me by email at
heidi@tampapsychology.com, but please do not include
sensitive clinical information in emails.
At what times during the day do you offer appointments?
I offer both daytime and evening appointments, including
weekends. However, the immediate availability of openings
varies. Please contact me to see if we can find a mutual time to
meet.
Do you send the results to me or to my child's school?
You will receive a copy of the report for your use during the
feedback session. You may choose to take the report to your
child's school at your convenience. Alternatively, you can sign
a release form giving your permission for us to send a copy of
the report to the school. We do not release assessment results
to anyone without your signed consent.
Will health insurance cover the cost?
At Tampa Psychology, we do not accept
health care insurance of any kind, as we value your privacy
and your future.

use insurance for any mental health services.
How long will therapy last?
There is usually an evaluation period that lasts 2-4 sessions.
At the end of the evaluation period I will offer recommendations
about potential treatment options and some initial thoughts
about what psychotherapy with me would look like, if that were
recommended. It is important for you to feel comfortable with
your future therapist. It is also important for your future
therapist to have the skills and experience necessary to treat
your specific concerns. If we agree that a good match exists
between us in these ways, then we will schedule future therapy
sessions. If not, then I will provide you with referrals to
other services or qualified professionals who may be better
suited to help you. |
